Apparitions of Medjugorje
26 March 2017
Dear friends of Our Holy Mother,
Some time ago I advised you about the Message given to the Seer Mirjana Soldo of Medjugorje regarding the date: 18 March. We all waited with great anticipation — however, there was only a small understanding of its significance. So, I contacted a prominent Promoter of Medjugorje — Steve Shawl. Here (below) is his answer about Bishop Ratko Peric of the Diocese of Mostar Dustar in Croatia. The Bishop’s statement you will find most revealing. Concerning the date of 18 March — please see below.
Keep strong as all the prophecies of Medjugorje will happen, just like all true Apparitions.
God Bless,
William Costellia

Mirjana Soldo – Significance of the date will be clear
Mirjana: “I can not divulge much about the secrets but I can say this … Our Lady is planning on changing the world. She did not come to announce our destruction; she came to save us and with her Son she will triumph over evil … Only when the things contained in the secrets start to happen will the world understand why she chose March 18. The significance of the date will be clear.”

The Message of 18 March 2017
“Dear children! My motherly desire is for your hearts to be filled with peace, and for your souls to be pure so that in the presence of my Son you could see His face. Because, my children, as a mother I know that you thirst for consolation, hope and protection. You, my children, consciously and unconsciously are seeking my Son. I also, as I passed the time on earth, rejoiced, suffered and patiently endured pains, until my Son, in all His glory, removed them. And that is why I am saying to my Son: help them always. You, my children, with true love, illuminate the darkness of selfishness which all the more envelopes my children. Be generous. May both your hands and heart always be open. Do not be afraid. Abandon yourselves to my Son with trust and hope. As you look towards Him, live life with love. To love means to give oneself, to endure, and never to judge. To love means to live the words of my Son. My children, as a mother I am speaking to you: only true love leads to eternal happiness. Thank you.”

Hi William,
Unfortunately these aren’t developments but rather distractions. And erroneous ones created and spun by the evil one at that.
The situation with the local bishop is a very complicated one. I could write pages and pages about this but what it really comes down to are the following few statements that I hope will help clear up the situation.
- The local bishop has no authority over Medjugorje. He has been asked not to speak about Medjugorje. So by his statement he is being disobedient to Rome. He has been disciplined for this previously as well. Rome has full authority over the apparitions and only Rome will decide if the apparitions are authentic. The bishops opinion, is simply that, his personal opinion, and does not reflect the opinion of the Church.
- The Church does not make a final decision about any apparition while it is ongoing. Both Fatima and Lourdes took over 30 years after the apparitions ceased before there was a decision. Rome has been watching the apparitions closely since they began, and I can assure you that if they found anything that went against Church teaching or in any way pointed to the apparitions not being authentic they would have already condemned Medjugorje. This has not happened. In fact, the Church has recognized the amazing fruits that have come from Medjugorje.
- The Last official statement on Medjugorje by the Church, by a commission of bishops assembled by Pope John Paul II said: “We bishops, after a three-year-long commission study accept Medjugorje as a holy place, as a shrine. This means that we have nothing against it if someone venerates the Mother of God in a manner also in agreement with the teaching and belief of the Church. . . Therefore, we are leaving that to further study. The Church does not hurry.” (Glas Koncila, August 15, 1993).
Cardinal Schonborn gave an interview last week in which he said:
Juan García Inza From Religion Libertad: juan.garciainza@gmail.com
I asked Cardinal Schonborn to give us his opinion on Medjugorje. He thought for a few seconds and said: I have been part of the Committee of experts who has studied this religious phenomena. Our conclusions are already given to the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, of which I am a member. But something significant is that Pope Francis, before the Congregation was defined on the subject, asked to be handed the study prepared by the Commission. That is, the Pope is very interested in everything related to Medjugorje.
He also stated that some members of the Commission were suspicious that the Virgin Mary appeared every day for so long. He answered them: For St. Faustina appeared to the Lord sometimes several times a day and is approved by the Church and she is canonized.
He is aware of the good that is being done in Medjugorje and in any part of the world that invokes Mary Queen of Peace. He organizes periodic prayer meetings with young people in his cathedral, and often invites one of the “Medjugorje visionaries” to talk to the children about their spiritual experiences and what they receive from the Virgin. When I asked him about the future of Medjugorje he told me that there is one thing clear: the Church is not going to “break” anything that has been built for years. That is, Medjugorje will continue to captivate the world.
I hope that helps.
God Bless!
Steve
